Vocalogy at NAU Jazz/Madrigal Festival

The annual Northern Arizona University Vocal Jazz Madrigal Festival, one of the largest festivals of its kind in the Southwestern United States, features five guest clinicians and over 140 high school ensembles from Arizona and nearby states. The two-day festival includes a host concert in which choirs from NAU and professional groups of national and international stature appear. This event will be held on the NAU campus in Flagstaff on Friday, February 11th and Saturday, February 12th, 2011. Ensembles of all ability levels are invited to participate. The Jazz Clinicians will be Michele Weir, a performer, composer and arranger from UCLA and Gary Eckert, a singer, writer and producer from University of North Texas. The Madrigal Clinicians will be Dr. Giselle Wyers from University of Washington, Bruce Rogers from Mt. San Antonio College and Dr. Sigrid Johnson from St. Olaf.
