Capitol Jazz Orchestra Miller salute

Ticket info here.   As a special tribute to the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and a heartfelt acknowledgement to “The Greatest Generation,” The Capital Jazz Orchestra will perform the music of the legendary Glenn Miller. Re-creating the role of The Modernaires will be the acclaimed vocal group More than Four while Dave Scott and Liz Saunders will perform the roles of Ray Eberle and Marion Hutton. In addition to iconic songs like “Chatanooga Choo-Choo,” “Kalamazoo,” and “In the Mood,” great dances from the 1940s will be performed by the talented dancers of The New England School of Dance.Following the performance, the CCA’s 20th Anniversay Festival will close with a 1940s ‘Canteen’ reception with dancing, music, and light hors d’oeuvres in the Governor’s Hall.
